As people across the United States and elsewhere to recognize the value of the purchase of environmentally friendly clothing, manufacturers are increasingly expanding their capacity, and even some of the best designers are turning to green tissue.

It is becoming easier to find organic cotton. Even some large chain stores carry certain items made from this fabric. Organic cotton is grown with natural fertilizers and free of toxic chemicals. Farmers rely on crop rotation and cultivation techniques to maintain the secular quality of soil and grow healthy plants. A field must be pesticide-free for at least three years to qualify as organic, and the cotton must be treated on the basis of international standards body.

bamboo fabric choices are the most environmentally unique. Softer than even the softest cotton on the market, bamboo fabric has a natural sheen and are frequently compared to silk and cashmere. It is less expensive and more durable than silk or satin, but it can be used in place of the two tissues. A big advantage of using bamboo fabric for baby clothes its antibacterial properties. Bamboo fibers contain an agent naturally occuring anti-microbial which prevents bacteria from growing on it. Bamboo also offers natural UV protection.

Like bamboo, hemp fibers are developing rapidly, making it very durable and a culture that respects the environment. The yield of a field of hemp or bamboo is more than double that of an equal area of cotton. hemp fabric still tends to be "nubb.
