hemp insulation instead of fiberglass or rock wool? We have almost no insulation yet. I prefer to adapt to certain I did not need to wear protective clothing and will not be a health hazard in the future. Hemp looks good for now - has anyone out there any experience of insulation alternative? It is for laying on the floor of our loft.
Mineral wool is less dangerous than the fiberglass. I doubt that hemp has good insulating properties. I've heard of lower wool are used as insulation, but could be in Australia.
In Sweden, they use old newspapers torn treaties that do not burn.
In the United Kingdom vermiculite granules are sometimes used.
There is a rigid foam board covered with aluminum foil which is cut with a handsaw and put between the floor joists of the attic (formaldhide urea)
