They do not measure levels of CO2. They actually measure your CO (carbon monoxide) level. If you smoke, the level of CO is higher than normal but in no case should it be 30 (which may be a level of lethality). I would bet that their machine was inconsistent. Most smokers CO levels are generally lower than 10. Tell us what your level of CO is the next time they check it.

High CO2 levels will always dangerous
but if you smoke more of them for more years then your levels will be higher.
Also, if you had a cigarette before the meeting started that would make reading more

I do not remember the number, but just before I left my level of carbon monoxide has been as bad as it gets. Four weeks without smoking it was like I lived in the country all my life.
