Quit drinking and smoking at the same time? Tomorrow is the day I circle on my calendar to quit smoking cigarrettes and stop drinking. I smoked a pack of cigarettes a day since I was 18 (now 35) and drank a half bottle of wine a night for about 2 years. I want to stop time. Do you think I should try one by one, or both cold turkey? I seriously think I'll go mad. Any advice?
One at a time.
Oh My Gosh Humanity, I could not do
but if you're going to do 1 at a time, quit drinkin first, because if you leave Smokin first when you drink you'll never want to smoke again
Cigarette substitute for cigars and wine for the rum ... you'll feel better
Let me begin by cirgaretts not start as a package smocing
day, perhaps at least half or else will u mad, then slowly let off just a glass of wine and place the bottle, then if you want something to eat
after a while u will be cut to the place where u do not even smoke wine and u have maybe once a month
I smoke two packs of cigarettes a day and a bottle of wine. I recommend you try to leave the smoke first and see how it goes. They are dependent, the most expensive and most unhealthy.
(Frankly. .. I think that wine is the only thing keeping me healthy.)
But if you want to give too .... I would wait until you are comfortably and confidently without smoke.
Good luck!
I did the same thing. I stopped 16 years ago without gum or patches. But first, I stopped drinking. Then I stopped smoking about six months later. If you can leave both the GO FOR IT at the same time! It can be done. You will need the will and others around you to support you. I'll be there if I can help in any way whatsoever. GOOD LUCK!
Congratulations on your attempt to better yourself. I also drink wine every night (2-3 glasses of water) and I smoke (only when I drink wine. Only 2-3). I understand and I'm proud of you. I think we all want to quit anything if we are really determined. It worked for me for a number of things: self-discipline. Just say you're not allowed to have wine for one day, but continue to smoke. Other daily. Finally, you say, no wine of the week then the next, do not smoke. After a while, your body will adapt. The human body is vulnerable to habits, but easily adaptable to change. I practice this method to keep me (and habits) in moderation. Good luck. Remember: The power is in you.
Do not leave immediately. Do it gradually so that your baody can adapt to changes.
Cold Turkey ... and both. Plan, but for exercise and other things to occupy and work off the frustration!
I left both in 1996 ... and 2 years ... then returned to the sea (Navy) and started smoking again. I stopped again ...
Now, I do not drink (beer) on Friday and Saturday after work when I do chores ... I buy a pack of cigarettes and give them away.
Is a *****! Seriously ... luck.
we give a time
cold turkey. both. they go together. If I did not drink, I would not smoke. Then stop. 3 days, the cravings disappear. After that, just resist. You can get there.
-good luck?
